Wow - what a wonderful little tucked away gem! I hosted a small get together in a park near the convention center during twitch con and ordered 20 sandwiches. Four of each kind:

Hub Club
California Veggie Wrap (No cheese to make it vegan)
Gas Lamp (award winning)
Spicy Ranchero
Spicy Buffalo

Everyone loved the sandwiches/wraps and we ordered some chips too. The staff were super helpful and kind! I ordered the morning before pick up and they had them ready on time and even helped me loaded them into my car!

I highly recommend for a meal for yourself or for a larger group!

The deli sandwiches are amazing and the owner is lovely. There's also a HUGE selection of beer an liquor - super convenient. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in San Diego next. Thank you

The DAGWOOD is one helluva sandwich!

My friemd brought me here for the first time on sept 10th for lunch and she ordered the gaslamp sandwich and i ordered bbq beef sandweich and spicey buffalo awesome sandwiches now its friday sept 16 and i have been coming here daily for same sandwiches except today i got bbq beef and rajun cajon im hooked these sandwiches are sooo good and the deli employees know what i want cause the guy always says spicy buffalo and bbq beef today i said instead of buffalo how about the rajun cajun so i got them i ate the bbq already but i still have the cajun for dinner

Absolutely delicious! I had the Gaslamp and my husband had the pastrami chino both were incredible. Fresh toasted buns and super fresh tasty meat with all the trimmings. This is a little hidden market that has amazing sandwiches. Dont miss it! We will be back tomorrow. Loved it ALOT.

The Hub Market has THE best breakfast burritos, amazing hot and cold sandwiches, wine, beer, soda, snacks - pretty much whatever youre looking for, and at truly wallet-gentle prices. The owners and their staff are most welcoming and friendly. Do yourself a big favor and get to The Hub Market - were going to miss this place when we get home.

My partner and I like different spread and he even made each half sandwich different. I wont be expecting this special treatment in the future, but appreciative and recognize the extra mile he went.

Unassuming convenience store at the front but great little deli at the back pumping out quality meats. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and grab the award winning 'Gio' - hands down the best sandwich Ive ever eaten. Layers of turkey, cheese and crispy bacon. You can't go wrong. And at 7.99 you couldn't find a better deal and a nicer family serving it. My only regret is finding out about this gem a few days before I had to leave. An absolute must in San Diego!

Looks can be deceiving. Don't let this humble convenience store fool you though. At the back, they make some of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten and a top tier breakfast burrito.

We stopped by this Deli/Liquor store while on a work trip with some colleagues as we worked on a team scavenger hunt and the owner was SO AMAZING with us! He had an awesome personality and did all he could to help us out with all of our random questions and request. He was great! The store was also very clean and is definitely the perfect one stop shop for everything.

I stopped in to the Hub Market and Deli during a visit for a scientific conference with my friends. Wow, what an incredible experience! We asked for some cups to take a drink with us outside, and the person working there made SURE we had enough cups and even came out on the street to give them to us! A+ service, highly recommended!!! Let me tell You something...I am eating the Gio Supreme Sandwich as I type this and it's superb! The Shop is Family owned/operated and is my absolute go to Downtown. I haven't had anything that comes close to the taste/value/and simplicity they offer @ great prices! Support these guys...grab a Sandwich!

I think I just had the best sandwich of my life (the Gio)! This hidden gem in the Gaslamp area is a must-try if you're looking for something quick and delicious. Also family-owned and operated. Loved hearing the banter between the mom and son who were working.
When I was in (November 2019), hot sandwiches were $8.99 and cold $7.99.

The staff is very friendly, and the food is awesome! I love their Gio Sandwich! Its big enough for 2 servings!

Amazing sandwiches at a true family business! We stopped in to get sandwiches to-go before heading to Torrey Pines. Marcell, the son, made the entire menu and was the one who made our sandwiches. The father, Nick, was at the front. Both super friendly people and the food was TDF (to die for). If we lived here, we would be regulars!

This is a great family owned neighborhood business Deli / market that offers some tasty sandwiches at very reasonable prices (They offer breakfast sandwiches too)! This is a stop for the visitors of the city who want crave a good style NY Deli sandwich; or for the extended visitor who needs laundry detergent or toiletry items.

Just in case you were wondering why only a 4? They are doing their best with maintaining staff (like every other business)... they spend time training but sometimes those new staff members get things wrong or take a little longer than usual to deliver product. The owners are really great people and are doing their best to deliver great service! I live in this neighborhood and will support the local business owner!

In town for a conference- walked by and saw my fav Vodka so decided to pop in and grab a bottle - it looks like your average corner store, great selection of snacks drinks alcohol - SUPER friendly guy behind the counter, he mentioned they have lemon/lime in the fridge and I'm more than welcome to grab one. I hesitated as I did not have a knife back at my hotel room and explained this to him and he took the liberty of cutting them into wedges and sealing them in here take container for me to take back to my room! So helpful! Their deli had great selection. I can honestly say I have never experienced such great customer service in an establishment like this. Keep it up! My only hesitation from ordering from the deli is that they did not have gluten-free bread options and I unfortunately, I am on a very strict diet. Menu looks nomnoms.

Huge, delicious subs

Decent sandwiches for a a low price. NOT a lunch spot, but a place to grab and go. (Just make sure you have somewhere to go. San Diego is not blessed with many benches that arent already occupied by homeless gentlemen.

Love this place.....very clean and by far best deli in downtown. Family owned and there food is super fresh. Lots of cool specialty sandwiches and they also let you "create your own" saying if we have it we will make it. So I always create my own style sandwich. Fun atmosphere and friendly people. I highly recommend this place to eat. They also have a large variety of alcohol wiht snacks and candy and 18 door cooler with drinks and cold beer. Enjoy!!!

A simple family owned business where you feel like family. I don't know the fathers' name, but Marcel and Gio, and their father, plus all their employees make you feel comfortable, at home. I go out of my way to go there.

From the street an unassuming convenience store, but in the back is a top notch deli cranking out amazing sandwiches which are probably the best value in the Gaslamp. Well stock beverage coolers and convenience store front for chips and snacks round out the place. Very friendly staff. Great selection of local beers, all varieties of wine, and a large liquor selection. Great find.
